What have you gained by participating in The Congressional Award?
I have learned the importance of perseverance and dedication, and I now understand that I can make a substantial difference in my community with just a few hours of free time a week, combined with a specific goal in mind.
To make progress towards any goal, it is imperative to work constantly and with dedication. Consistency and focus are key! Since I started volunteering, I have seen the true beauty of our community. I have met so many unique, giving and kind people, and have also come to appreciate Jackson’s human beauty. I have also recognized my community’s needs and become even more dedicated to helping my community in the future. Working on the Congressional Award has truly been a truly fulfilling and rewarding process.
