What have you gained by participating in The Congressional Award?
I learned lifelong skills through all the different types of volunteering that I did, including how important it is for community events and organizations to have the help of volunteers. I have learned wisdom and knowledge that will help me throughout my life, and skills that will continue into my adulthood. On the physical side, I became a stronger, more agile, and healthier person. I also recognized needs in our community that I was unaware of before.
