What have you gained by participating in The Congressional Award?
Through doing Congressional Award, I believe that I have become more engaged as a community member. I find myself doing things that I wouldn’t have otherwise been doing, and loving them. I have joined many clubs at my school, become a part of non-profits like the museums in my town, and engaged with people in need of care and assistance. All of the experiences have grown my heart to help other people, which I believe is something we are lacking in our society. Not only this, but I have gained a community of people like me who are reaching out in their town to make it a better place. I am so grateful for the experiences I have had and the memories I have made, and I believe that they make me who I am today.
