What have you gained by participating in The Congressional Award?
There are not words to describe how much this program has given me. I feel like I have gained a sense of purpose for my life, now knowing how much I can impact my community by just being myself. I have learned to love myself and to understand that everyone makes mistakes. Everyone is different, and learning about different cultures and lifestyles has allowed me to see life through a new lens. I have developed so much as a person, and I feel so much more well-rounded than I did before. Everything I have learned from this award has improved my life so much. I feel like every action I have can lead to a great impact; I just have to make sure I do it right. I feel like I am finally living the life I want to life. Everything I used to do was for myself and my family, but now I am trying to see the bigger picture and impact as many people as I possibly can.
