What have you gained by participating in The Congressional Award?
I learned about working to improve my skills physically, and that I should compare against my previous results, not other’s results. My volunteer work allowed me to coach other young girls to enjoy running as much as I enjoy it and made me realize just how lucky I am to have food every weekend. My expedition didn’t go as I had originally planned, but I learned about the military, enjoyed a great day in Grand Teton Park with my family, and took a scenic fl oat trip.
