What have you gained by participating in The Congressional Award?
I was able to volunteer, meet people, and have experiences I would have never experienced if this program did not push me to do so. I learned new skills, like crocheting and cooking. Crocheting is like practice because when I grow up, I want to be a surgeon. I also learned how to cook, which means I can help my parents when making food and I can take care of myself in college without eating junk food.
